Konjac Root Wave Shape Konjac Bath Sponge
What is a Konjac Sponge?
A Konjac sponge is a soft sponge-like cleaning product. It serves the purpose of cleaning your face gently, but effectively. You still benefit from the exfoliant properties, but it’s is not as abrasive as using a loofa, a brush, a scrub, or a vibrating device.
A konjac sponge is made from the konjac root, which is a porous root vegetable most commonly grown in Japan and Asia. It’s a white colour and is sold in different shapes—a half globe or hemisphere, and a rectangular shape are most commonly offered in shops. Some konjac sponges have been infused with charcoal for additional benefits. This turns them a black colour. While the white sponges are best for normal, dry, or combo skin, the charcoal sponges are best for oily or combo skin.
How Do I Use a Konjac Sponge to Clean My Skin?
1.Begin by opening up the package that your konjac sponge came in and soak it in a clear bowl of warm water. This will soften the sponge for use. Leave it about fifteen minutes.
2.Rinse your face or body with your hands and warm water. Then use the sponge to gently clean your face or body. Use small motions as there is no need to press hard.
3.You may also use your favourite bar of soap or facial cleanser with the sponge.
4.When you’re done, rinse the sponge under warm running tap water. Be gentle with the sponge so that you don’t damage it. It’s unlike a synthetic sponge that you’d use to clean your floors.
5.Squeeze the excess water out and hang it to dry.
6.Don’t store your sponge in a humid environment, for instance, a tub that is used often. Also store it away from direct sunlight.
7.To sterilize the sponge, every few days soak it for 15 minutes in warm-hot water in a clean bowl. Konjac sponges contain natural properties that resist bacteria, so you can feel confident in using them on your skin.
